The Franciacorta consortium was founded on 5 March 1990 in Corte Franca to ensure and monitor compliance with the discipline of production of Franciacorta wine. To identify this wine, produced exclusively by the method of reference in the bottle, is the name of the geographical region, where its vineyards grow: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Bianco. Moved in 1993 to the current headquarters of Erbusco, the Consortium has about 200 members among wineries in Franciacorta, winemakers, bottlers and interested in the production chain of Franciacorta DOCG.
