Molise wines: list of wines from Molise September 2021
Molise is a small region, characterised by a hilly part and a mountainous part.
In Molise there are 4 DOC and 2 IGT designations of origin. The Biferno DOC has red, rosé and white wines made from Montepulciano and Alianico grapes, while the white wines are made from Trebbiano toscano and Pentro or Pentro d'Isernia DOC grapes. There are red, rosé and white wines, the first two being Montepulciano and Sangiovese, Trebbiano toscano (60-70%) and the third Bombino Bianco. Both were established in 1983.
Then in 1998 came Molise or Molise DOC, which insisted on a large part of the Molise territory, and there are many types and varieties that can be used. The 5 types allowed by the regulations are: red, sparkling, passito, novello and spumante.

Di Majo Norante Contado 2015
Di Majo Norante Contado 2015 is an intense ruby red wine produced by Di Majo Norante in Molise. Di Majo Norante Biferno Contado 2015 is a wine aged 18 months in barrel, the nose has aromas of spicy and toasty notes of chocolate and tobacco accompany fruity aromas. Wine to pair with white meat, poultry, veal, pork, sheep, red meat, fresh cheeses, cold cuts.
Di Majo Norante Tintilia 2018
Di Majo Norante Tintilia 2018 is a red wine produced by Di Majo Norante in Molise. Vinification: maceration in contact with the skins for 1 month. Di Majo Norante Tintilia del Molise 2018 is a wine aged 8 months in barrels then 6 months in bottle, the nose has aromas of intense and balanced fruity notes and undergrowth, delicate hints of leather and licorice. A wine to be paired with game and mature cheeses.
